Directeur du Laboratoire de biocapteurs et nanomachines de l'Université de Montréal, Dr Vallé-Bélisle et son équipe a mis au point une nouvelle génération de tests de dépistage en s'inspirant des biocapteurs naturels du corps humain. Leur petit appareil, éventuellement disponible à bon marché en pharmacie, est capable de détecter certains cancers et virus, dont le VIH, en moins de 5 minutes.
Director of the Laboratory of Biosensors and Nanomachines at the University of Montreal, Dr. Valle-Bélisle and his team developed a new generation of medical screening tests based on the natural biosensors of the human body. The small device may be cheaply available at pharmacies in the near future, and will be able to detect some cancers and viruses, including HIV, in less than five minutes.
